Bag Features
This adaptable bag has a 'huggable' strap length, meaning it nestles cosily right under your arm, making it a comforting wear, and a secure bag to carry!
The large front panel of the Cwtsh bag is perfect for showing off feature fabrics. It has exposed boxed corners for a twist on a regular slouch style handbag and has slip and zip pockets inside.
The bag is stabilised with fusible fleece, but if you're using a canvas or a tapestry fabric you may wish to omit the stabiliser all together.
For extra strength, you can choose to add optional rivets to the bag.

What fabrics did you use for your Cwtsh Bag?
I made my cover bag from 'Caged Beauty' from Blended Thread Fabrics pre-order company in Cotton woven. I used 'iron' by Kona Cotton for the lining. I used medium weight interfacing on the exterior and lining panels (Vilene F220) and fusible fleece for the exterior panels.
What materials do I need to make the Cwtsh Bag?
This pattern works best in quilting cottons, although slightly thicker fabrics will work if your machine can sew through 6 layers.
