'Twas the night before Christmas: Bagineer Edition

'Twas the night before Christmas... and sobs filled the air
when I suddenly realised I'd failed to prepare
a gift for my favourite bagineer friend
and I couldn't help wonder - would my error offend?

"Oh no!" I cried out, "Oh what can I do?"
The shops are all closed, and last post is through!
No patterns or notions, no bagmaking bling
or that doodad for zippers - oh what is that thing?

I've left it too late and while I'm sure they won't grieve
I wish I'd remembered before Christmas Eve.

All at once came a chime from my email inbox:
'Gift ideas for bagineers' - opportunity knocks!

"Need a last-minute gift? We've got you; you'll see
there's time yet to put one more gift by the tree.

A bagmaking break, a sewing retreat
is sure to make their Christmas wish quite complete.
This gift, though, would be for a very special friend
as it's rather a lot if you're watching your spend.

How about gifting a mystery treat?
A pattern subscription would be rather neat.
Gift cards for our Club ship via the 'net
on the day of your choice, a date you can set.

A sewing club gift has quite the appeal,

Last but not least in our last-minute spree
