If you're planning to sew our Companion Carpet Bag sewing pattern, you'll need a bag frame! We've had countless emails and messages from our lovely bagineers asking where they can source the bag frames needed for our Companion Carpet Bag sewing pattern. So, to try and make your lives easier, we've sourced our own supply.
Our carpet bag frames are aluminium tubular bag frames with round barrel hinges and are available in silver nickel or antique brass finish in both small and large sizes.
If you are making the small version of our Companion Carpet Bag sewing pattern, you'll need a small carpet bag frame. These bag frames are 8.25" to 8.5".
If you are making the large version of our Companion Carpet Bag sewing pattern, you'll need a large carpet bag frame. These carpet bag frames are 12".
If you've used carpet bag frames before, you'll notice that these barrel hinge frames have unfortunately had the hinges attached backwards in the factory, so you will need to unscrew each hinge and turn them around to see the nicely finished end on your bag. Because of this, we are offering this batch at a special price of £8 for the small, and £9.50 for the large.
